"Monument in the Trees"

I remember, vaguely, going to the San Jacinto Monument in second or third grade. Anyone else remember jumping out of bed, no matter how early, on field trip day, ready to go?! Going to the top of the Monument and being able to see the Houston skyline was so cool.
